Each workshop <br /> theme is mirrored, age appropriately, for children in childcare and is reinforced with parents <br /> during weekly home visits. <br /> 3 Year Old Journey(3YOJ): Children who were accepted into the Promise Academy lottery <br /> attend the Three Year Old Journey with their parents to learn about pre-K social and academic <br /> expectations and participate in educational activities and trips. The Journey program aims to <br /> foster parents' excitement about their children's learning and prepares them to become <br /> masters of their children's education. <br /> Get Ready for Pre-K: A program to prepare 3 year old children for the transition to pre-school, <br /> providing their first exposure to the classroom setting and routines. <br /> Harlem Gems Universal Pre-Kindergarten: Our early childhood education program has four <br /> sites, which can serve up to 242 children. We currently serve 40 four-year-old children at both <br /> PS 149 and the Singleton Early Childhood Center, 57 three-to-five-year-old children in a Head <br /> Start Center, and 100 four-year old children in a center-based setting. Harlem Gems ensures all <br /> children enter kindergarten ready to learn. <br /> Promise Academy Elementary. Middle and High School Charter Schools: <br /> HCZ Promise Academy Charter Schools: Offer a high quality, extended day, extended year, <br /> college preparatory education to elementary, middle and high school students. HCZ currently <br /> has two elementary charter schools (K-5th), two middle schools (6th-8th) and one high school <br /> (9th-12th) <br />
