102 <br /> • Further the relationship between the newly-formed Friends of Orange <br /> County Parks, Recreation and Open Space and the County <br /> government. r <br /> • Continue to offer advice and support for park operation and <br /> recreation programming. <br /> • Follow up on recommendation for a disc gold course at Blackwood <br /> Farm Park. <br /> • Assist in the installation of a basic compass-orienteering course at <br /> Little River Park. <br /> What are the concerns or emerging issues your board has identified for the <br /> upcoming year that it plans to address, or wishes to bring to the Commissioners' <br /> attention? <br /> • Pursue a definitive statement from the County on how to finance <br /> parks, recreation and open space improvements identified in the <br /> Capital Investment Plan and the PRMP 2030. <br /> • Expand access to public open space owned by institutions such as <br /> OWASA, UNC and Duke within the county, exploring areas where <br /> facility use could be made more open.
