Proposal Submission and Award Orange County has once again achieved the highest verifiable waste reduction rate in the State of North Carolina as calculated by the NC Waste Management Division. In keeping with our continued efforts to reduce waste at its source, we are asking that vendor's hard copy responses be double-sided and on recycled content paper to the extent practicable. Clearly mark remitting Proposal: "SEALED PROPOSAL - RFP 5134 -Proposals for the Classification, Pay, and Benefits Study" Proposals must be received in the Purchasing Department not later than 5:00 pm EST on Tuesday, August 21, 2007. Basis for Award -The County may choose to accept or reject any or all proposals. The selection process may include an interview for the top candidate(s) with the Personnel Director, Purchasing and Central Services Director, County Manager, and/or other County staff. The interview and staff recommendation process is anticipated for completion no later than September 7, 2007 with the Board of County Commissioners consideration slated for September 19, 2007. The successful candidate will be notified of the Board's action within two days.
