Since adoption, the ordinance
has been revised 13 times. The first 12 were at the request of the State to match changes to the
State's model ordinance with the last request being in 1992. The thirteenth revision was made in
2003 and reflects the Commissioner's desire to ban open burning of large woody debris
resulting from land clearing activities subject to the Erosion Control Ordinance.
Revisions are highlighted in red and underlined. **~* indicate sections of the ordinance that are
unchanged. For a full copy of the proposed and amended ordinance, please see the Planning
and Inspections Office or the Clerks Office.
The current State requested revision is a result of recent changes to the State's model
ordinance.
