AF -a <br /> RES-2015-069 Q <br /> l� <br /> RESOLUTION OF AMENDMENT <br /> A RESOLUTION AMENDING CHAPTER 4 OF THE ORANGE COUNTY <br /> CODE OF ORDINANCES <br /> Be it Resolved by the Board of Commissioners of Orange County, North Carolina: <br /> WHEREAS,Orange County,through ordinance,regulates among other things the possession,care, <br /> and treatment of animals; and <br /> WHEREAS,in an effort to provide for the uniform regulation of animals within Orange County the <br /> municipalities of Carrboro,Chapel Hill,and Hillsborough have participated in the development of <br /> the ordinance and have, to the extent it is not in conflict with their own ordinances, adopted the <br /> attached ordinance for enforcement within their territorial jurisdictions; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Orange County Board of Commissioners,believing it to be in the best interest of the <br /> citizens and residents of Orange County,hereby determines that Chapter 4 of the Orange County <br /> Code of Ordinances should be amended to reflect a more unified approach to the regulation of <br /> animals in Orange County. <br /> NOW THEREFORE,the Orange County Board of Commissioners hereby amends Chapter 4 of the <br /> Orange County Code of Ordinances as shown in the attached ordinance. <br /> This Amendment to Chapter 4 shall become effective March 1, 2016. <br /> rl�rdained and adopted by the Orange County Board of Commissioners this day of <br /> 2016. <br /> By: Attest: <br /> �� Jq-xat- <br /> Earl McKee, Chair Donna aker, Jerk to the Board <br /> Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> (�tAll$P t <br /> 17 <br /> SZ <br /> blf <br /> �ttruliull <br />
