ao <br />ECONOMIC SELF SUFFICIENCY <br />Provide the infrastructure, policies, programs and funding necessary for <br />individuals to provide necessities for themselves and their dependents in Orange <br />County including shelter, food, clothing and medical care and preserve the safety <br />net function of County government by aiding those who find themselves without <br />basic sustenance and support in the midst of life circumstances. <br />INCOMEAND WEALTH <br />Improve income security for individuals and families classified <br />as poor and working poor so that individuals and families are <br />able to support themselves and those for whom they are <br />responsible. <br />• Develop a Countywide Economic Responsibility Policy and institute a standing <br />Orange County Economic Justice Action Committee as a mechanism to <br />monitor the County's compliance with the objectives of the Economic <br />Responsibility Policy.
