He said the issue is still
being studied for full clarity and to insure the County is in full compliance.
Chair McKee clarified that the two options he sees are to form a reasonable defense of
the County's regulations or to assume the State's standards. He asked if there is a third option.
John Roberts said where the state law is not clear, there will be a reasonable defense
made to any challenges. He said staff is working on being as prepared as possible. He said
the UDO could be amended if necessary.
Bonnie Hammersley said staff would continue to rely on the County Attorney's office as
the legislation is reviewed and recommendations made. She said budget amendments would
be considered if, and when, they are deemed necessary.
Chair McKee said the will of the Board seems to be for creating a reasonable defense of
the County's current position and regulations.

A motion was made by Commissioner Dorosin, seconded by Commissioner Burroughs
to adjourn the meeting at 8:53 p.m.

VOTE: UNANIMOUS

Earl McKee, Chair

David Hunt, Deputy Clerk to the Board
