I maintain <br /> my professional day job as a consultant with Aon Corporation part-time and opened a small <br /> business in April 2013 in downtown Hillsborough. I have experience developing new business, <br /> writing and managing RFP s (requests for proposal) and managing projects; working with large, <br /> small and diverse teams. And I have spent many of my professional years recruiting individuals <br /> and teams for new projects for clients both commercial clients in private industry and in the <br /> federal sector. I have some experience working with state and local agencies but more on the <br /> federal side. <br /> Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br /> As a resident of Orange County for 15 years I have never served on any board and have an <br /> interest in doing so. Even moreso now that I own a small business in downtown Hillsborough. <br /> So many people come into the shop from so many places and just love Orange County. Many <br /> people are interested in moving to Orange county that don t already live here. We get so many <br /> visitors from Greensboro, Burlington,Virginia as well as those in the Triangle just discovering or <br /> in some cases re-discovering Orange county. And many have become regular customers. We <br /> hear again and again what a great job Hillsborough in particular is doing to create a creative vibe <br /> and it s so peaceful. I am interested in helping Orange county grow and attract more visitors <br />
