<br />Association of Hillsboro, and to Kenneth Putnam, Chairmen of the Parade
<br />C ommlttee for the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Merchants Association, for their
<br />coons rati on in arranging two mammoth parades as two of the high points of
<br />the celebration, and nl so to the members of the two ass acla lions for their
<br />cooperation Sn arranging many historic displays.

<br />advice and guidance in the writing, directing and atageing of "TA'c ROAD TO
<br />ORAtIGE,° and without whose assistance the pageant could not have been pro-
<br />duced in the short time allotted.

<br />Haney, technical director, Foster Fitz-Simmons, narrator, William Trotman,

<br />stageing of "THE ROAD TO ORP,NGE,' for catching the spirit of the early
<br />p ioneor and the presentation of it in this dramatic and historic manner.

<br />the Exhibits Committee for the Bari ous historic exhibits in the Court House
<br />and elsewhere in Hillsboro end in the Library at the IInivers ity of North

<br />To the Hillsboro Garden Club for nrranging a Totrr of Historic Houses in
<br />and near Hillsboro for two days of the celebration which brought many persons
<br />to Hillsboro during that time.
<br />To SV. 5. Hogan, Postmaster of the Chapel Rill Post Office, and to Thomas
<br />E. Bivins, Postmaster of the Hillsboro Post Office, for obtaining and useing
<br />cancellation slogans for all mail sent through their offices for about six
<br />weeks prior to and during the week of the celebration, and to The Hospital
<br />Saving Associati an of Chapel Hill and the IIniversi ty of North Carolina at
<br />Chapel Rill for the use of slogan cancellations on their metered mail for
<br />the same time.
