Orange County Parks and Recreation Council —Appointment <br /> 9 The Board considered making an appointment to the Orange County Parks and <br /> 10 Recreation Council. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 A motion was made by Commissioner Pelissier, seconded by Commissioner Jacobs to <br /> 13 appoint the following to the Orange County Parks and Recreation Council: <br /> 14 <br /> 15 Appointment of Michael Dempsey to a first full term (Position #11) Eno Township <br /> 16 position expiring 12/31/2018. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 19 <br /> 20 12. Board Comments <br /> 21 Commissioner Price said she, and other Commissioners, attended the Justice United <br /> 22 Assembly. She said it was an encouraging assembly. <br /> 23 Commissioner Price said there is the ribbon cutting for the Stickworks sculpture this <br /> 24 weekend at the Riverwalk. <br /> 25 Commissioner Jacobs said the Durham-Chapel Hill-Orange MPO approved the <br /> 26 alternative draft environmental impact statement last week. He said at that meeting, he <br /> 27 reported the concerns of some in Orange County and his colleagues. <br /> 28 Commissioner Jacobs said he has a response to Craig Benedict's memo regarding the <br /> 29 use of economic development funds being spent on sewer projects that are annexed by other <br /> 30 jurisdictions. He said he would put his response in writing. <br /> 31 Commissioner Burroughs said she had no comments. <br /> 32 Commissioner Pelissier said she had no comments. <br /> 33 Commissioner Rich said she had no comments. <br /> 34 Commissioner Dorosin said he had no comments. <br /> 35 Chair McKee thanked Commissioner Jacobs for noting the issue that not all are in favor <br /> 36 of the light rail. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 13.
