Hillsborough Board of Adjustment—Appointment <br /> The Board considered making an appointment to the Hillsborough Board of <br /> Adjustment. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner Pelissier to <br /> appoint Jamie Tomosunas to the Hillsborough Board of Adjustment to a partial term (position <br /> #1) "ETJ County-Alternate" expiring 06/30/2017. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> b. Historic Preservation Commission —Appointments <br /> The Board considered making appointments to the Historic Preservation Commission. <br /> Commissioner Price said there are two different interpretations of the statute and asked <br /> if the applicant must to live in the County and the Town of Hillsborough, or only the County. <br /> John Roberts said he interpreted these statutes to mean that whomever is appointed <br /> must be a resident of the County's territorial jurisdiction (anywhere within the County lines), <br /> which includes towns. Conversely, a town's Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) cannot <br /> include county residents except those from an ETJ area. <br /> These are the applicable statutes: <br /> § 160A-400.2.
