Consent Agenda <br /> • Removal of Any Items from Consent Agenda <br /> Item 6-b by Chair McKee <br /> • Approval of Remaining Consent Agenda <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner Rich to <br /> approve the remaining items on the Consent Agenda. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> • Discussion and Approval of the Items Removed from the Consent Agenda <br /> b. Motor Vehicle Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> The Board considered adopting a resolution to release motor vehicle property tax <br /> values for four (4) taxpayers with a total of six (6) bills that will result in a net reduction of <br /> revenue of$16,083.54, in accordance with the NCGS. <br /> Chair McKee asked if the validity of the numbers in the item had been verified. <br /> Dwane Brinson, Orange County Tax Administrator, said this is the market value for <br /> these vehicles. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner Burroughs to <br /> approve the adoption of a resolution, which is incorporated by reference, to release motor <br /> vehicle property tax values for four (4) taxpayers with a total of six (6) bills that will result in a <br /> net reduction of revenue of$16,083.54, in accordance with the NCGS. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> a. Minutes <br /> The Board approved the minutes from September 29, October 1, and October 6, 2015 as <br /> submitted by the Clerk to the Board. <br /> c. Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> The Board adopted a resolution, which is incorporated by reference, to release property tax <br /> values for four (4) taxpayers with a total of nine (9) bills that will result in a net reduction of <br /> revenue of$10,373.16, in accordance with North Carolina General Statute 105-381. <br /> d. Applications for Property Tax Exemption/Exclusion <br /> The Board approved three (3) untimely applications for exemption/exclusion from ad valorem <br /> taxation for three (3) bills for the 2015 tax year. <br /> e. Unified Development Ordinance Amendment Outline and Schedule — Engineering <br /> Standards for Development <br /> The Board approved process components and schedule for an upcoming government-initiated <br /> amendment to the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) incorporating engineering standards <br /> for property development. <br /> 7.
