Minutes <br /> 22 The Board approved the minutes from September 29, October 1, and October 6, 2015 as <br /> 23 submitted by the Clerk to the Board. <br /> 24 c. Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> 25 The Board adopted a resolution, which is incorporated by reference, to release property tax <br /> 26 values for four (4) taxpayers with a total of nine (9) bills that will result in a net reduction of <br /> 27 revenue of$10,373.16, in accordance with North Carolina General Statute 105-381. <br /> 28 d. Applications for Property Tax Exemption/Exclusion <br /> 29 The Board approved three (3) untimely applications for exemption/exclusion from ad valorem <br /> 30 taxation for three (3) bills for the 2015 tax year. <br /> 31 e. Unified Development Ordinance Amendment Outline and Schedule— Engineering <br /> 32 Standards for Development <br /> 33 The Board approved process components and schedule for an upcoming government-initiated <br /> 34 amendment to the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) incorporating engineering standards <br /> 35 for property development. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 7. Regular Agenda <br /> 38 <br /> 39 a. Bicycle Safety Resolution and Next Steps <br /> 40 The Board considered approving a resolution supporting public and private efforts to <br /> 41 increase safety awareness between motorists and bicyclists, roadway safety improvements for <br /> 42 bicyclists, and authorizing next steps. <br /> 43 Abigaile Pittman, Orange County Planning and Inspections, said staff was directed to <br /> 44 bring this item back to the Board of County Commissioners this fall. She reviewed the <br /> 45 recommendations included in the abstract, as well as the proposed resolution. She noted that <br /> 46 the recommendation regarding a task force is not supported by the County Manager's Office. <br /> 47 Bonnie Hammersley said she wanted to elaborate about not recommending a task <br /> 48 force.
