4 <br /> This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds. (See <br /> Attachment 1, column 6) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this agenda item: <br /> • GOAL: FOSTER A COMMUNITY CULTURE THAT REJECTS OPPRESSION <br /> AND INEQUITY <br /> The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race or <br /> color; religious or philosophical beliefs; sex, gender or sexual orientation; national <br /> origin or ethnic background; age; military service; disability; and familial, residential <br /> or economic status. <br /> All of the additional funding available to the Department on Aging supports the <br /> maintenance/expansion of its programs and services. While available to all Orange <br /> County residents age 60 years and older, the target population for these services is those <br /> residents in greatest social and economic need. <br /> Economic Development <br /> 7. The Orange County Arts Commission has received notification from the North <br /> Carolina Arts Council of additional State funds of $2,010 for FY 2015-16. These <br /> funds will be used to increase grant recipient funding. This budget amendment <br /> provides for the receipt of these additional funds. The Orange County Library Services has received notification from the North Carolina <br /> Department of Cultural Resources, Library Development Section, of additional State <br /> Aid funds of $5,598 for FY 2015-16. These funds will be used to purchase additional <br /> books and supplies. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these <br /> additional funds. (See Attachment 1, column 8) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact <br /> associated with this item. <br />
