2 <br /> The Department of Social Services manages various donation programs including Toys <br /> for Tots to assure that any available programs are accessible to all low income families. <br /> Health Department <br /> 2. The Health Department has deferred revenues/in-flows for the following: <br /> • Donation — As of June 30, 2015, $770 from Kidcycle, LLC was earmarked as <br /> deferred revenue/in-flows, for use in FY 2015-16. The funds will be used to help <br /> supplement cost of care management and program supplies/materials for the Care <br /> Coordination for Children program. <br /> This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these funds. (See Attachment 1, column 2) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this agenda item: <br /> • GOAL: ENABLE FULL CIVIC PARTICIPATION <br /> Ensure that Orange County residents are able to engage government through <br /> voting and volunteering by eliminating disparities in participation and barriers to <br /> participation. <br /> Cooperative Extension <br /> 3. Cooperative Extension has received notification of $11,000 in additional funding from <br /> the North Carolina Agricultural Foundation. These additional funds will be used for the <br /> Farm-To-Fork event held at the Breeze Farm. This budget amendment provides for <br /> the receipt of these funds. (See Attachment 1, column 3) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this agenda item: <br /> • GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br /> The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding <br /> necessary for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for <br /> themselves and their dependents. <br /> Animal Services <br /> 4. The Animal Services Department has received additional revenue for the following <br /> programs: <br /> • Donations — receipt of an additional $1,364 in donations to purchase a picnic <br /> table and a dog waste container for the new dog exercise area. <br /> • Friends of Orange County Animal Shelter Donation — receipt of an additional <br /> $924 to purchase an outdoor flag banner to promote adoptions at the Animal <br /> Shelter. <br /> • Sale of Asset — receipt of $900 for the sale of a horse that was under the care of <br /> Animal Services. These funds will be used to pay for the cost of care and boarding <br /> of the horse while under the care of Orange County Animal Services. <br /> This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds. (See <br /> Attachment 1, column 4) <br />
