Whereas, the Hillsborough/Orange County Chamber of Commerce awarded the 1999 Ed Riley <br /> Helping Hand Award to James Stewart for constructing the Field of Dreams; <br /> Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, that the Orange County Board of County Commissioners <br /> hereby proclaims that the baseball field at Fairview Community Park of Orange County shall be <br /> named in honor of the late James "Junebug" Stewart, as a memorial to him, his love for the <br /> people of his community and his "Field of Dreams". <br /> This 6th day of October 2015. <br /> A motion was made Commissioner Jacobs, by seconded Commissioner Rich for the <br /> Board to approve and authorize the Chair to sign the attached proclamation naming the <br /> ballfield at Fairview Park for James "Junebug" Stewart, and authorized staff to work with the <br /> Board to schedule and plan for a dedication ceremony to be held in October/November 2015. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> Commissioner Jacobs said $800,000 of the funds for the building of Fairview Park <br /> came from the 2001 bond referendum for Parks and Open Space. <br /> 5. Public Hearings <br /> a. Class A Special Use Permit— Schools (Elementary, Middle and Secondary) Public <br /> and Private) for the Emerson Waldorf School (Receipt of Planning Board <br /> Recommendation — No Additional Public Comment or Testimony Allowed) <br /> Chair McKee read the following, and declared the public hearing reconvened. He <br /> added that the hearing is solely for the purpose of receiving the Planning Board <br /> recommendation and allowing new information previously submitted in writing to be entered <br /> into the record. <br /> The Board shall receive the Planning Board recommendation, close the public hearing, <br /> and make a decision on a Class A Special Use Permit (hereafter `SUP') application submitted <br /> by the Emerson Waldorf School located at the intersection of New Jericho and Millhouse <br /> Roads in Chapel Hill Township. The applicant is proposing revisions to the school's current <br /> SUP and requesting approval of a Master Plan outlining the long-term expansion of the <br /> school's facilities and infrastructure in accordance with Section 2.7 Special Use Permits and <br /> Section 5.8.4 "Schools: Elementary, Middle and Secondary" of the Orange County Unified <br /> Development Ordinance (UDO). <br /> Patrick Mallet, Current Planning, reviewed the abstract and attachments and asked that <br /> they be entered into the record, along with the pink attachment at the Commissioners' places. <br /> He said the attachments are: <br /> 1.
