CL <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> Proclamation <br /> ORANGE CONGREGATIONS IN MISSIONS MONTH (OCIM) <br /> November 2015 <br /> Whereas, Orange Congregations in Mission (OCIM) is a private non-profit ministry <br /> composed of almost 50 congregations in northern Orange County; and <br /> Whereas, OCIM is committed to providing a helping hand to those in our community <br /> who are in need of assistance; and <br /> Whereas, OCIM strives to meet the emergency needs of those who find themselves in <br /> a crisis situation; and <br /> Whereas, the OCIM mission is fulfilled by ministering to the needs of people who have <br /> populated the small communities and rural areas of Orange County since 1981; and <br /> Whereas, OCIM is committed to feeding the hungry, providing clothing and other <br /> essentials through its Meals on Wheels and Food Pantry Ministries and Thrift Shop <br /> Ministry; and <br /> Whereas, other needs are met through its Samaritan Relief Ministry; and <br /> Whereas, OCIM volunteers, staff, town and county governments contribute greatly to <br /> the success of its programs; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, we, the Orange County Board of Commissioners, do proclaim <br /> November 2015 to be OCIM Month and urge all community members to engage with <br /> those in need through cheerful giving. <br /> This the 20th day of October 2015. e5 0*4-to <br /> Earl McKee, Chair <br /> Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />
