Prior to my four years with OCPYC, I served as the Deputy Director of the <br /> Center for Child and Family Health and as a faculty member with Duke University <br /> Department of Psychiatry. My responsibilities included managing all aspects of the mental <br /> health clinic including budgeting, billing Medicaid and private insurance. My work at the <br /> Center focused on child health and mental health issues with a special emphasis on <br /> domestic violence. I worked with diverse families from both Durham and Orange Counties. <br /> My earlier work included special projects aimed at children and families exposed to <br /> violence at the Yale University School of Medicine Child Study Center in New Haven, CT. <br /> I also directed clinical programs at Safe Horizon, a mental health organization in New <br /> York, and assisted victims in the aftermath of 9/11. 1 worked internationally for many years <br /> administering and implementing programs. <br />
