5/13/2015 Orange County Government-Class Specification Bulletin <br /> 112 <br /> Planner II Class Code: <br /> 1923 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY GOVERNMENT <br /> Established Date: Jan 26, 2012 <br /> Revision Date: Jan 26, 2012 <br /> SALARY RANGE <br /> $46,362.00-$75,968.00 Annually <br /> DESCRIPTION: <br /> Responsible for planning activities in the areas of transportation, zoning, and GIS support. <br /> EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: <br /> A position may not include all the work examples given, nor does the list include all that may be <br /> assigned. <br /> Conduct research, analysis, and summarize possible effects of proposed policy initiatives, including <br /> implementation measures related to small area plans. Work with other jurisdictions as needed to provide <br /> review and comments on potential planning. <br /> Coordinate County transportation planning activities with regional agencies. Process petitions for addition of <br /> roads to State Maintenance System. Provide recommendations on application and implementation of multi- <br /> modal transportation tools and techniques. <br /> Assist with the development and oversight of department projects such as the Unified Development <br /> Ordinance, the Comprehensive Plan, Master Telecommunication Plan Planning, and the requirements <br /> related to floodplain administration. Provide Board support as required. <br /> Review, process, comment and/or approve submitted development proposals, zoning complaints, <br /> subdivision proposals. Conduct field inspections of building permits awaiting certificates of occupancy. <br /> Distinguishing Factors <br /> This classification is distinguished from the Planner I classification based on the complexity of the planning <br /> projects and responsibilities. <br /> TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS: <br /> Knowledge, Skills.
