Winners received a congratulatory letter, certificate, and a small monetary award. <br /> During the month of August, the photographs were displayed at the Orange County Visitors <br /> Center in Hillsborough, the Orange County Public Library, and the Chapel Hill/Orange County <br /> Visitors Center. In addition, winning photographs are displayed on the Orange County DEAPR <br /> website under the "breaking news" section http://www.orangecountync.gov/deapr/, on the <br /> department's Facebook Page, and will be "streaming" around the county on the visual <br /> monitors. <br /> • "THE NATURE OF ORANGE" <br /> Photography Contest 2015 <br /> • 4th annual photography contest <br /> • Photographers help document the beauty and diversity of our natural resources or <br /> show residents enjoying our parks and environment. Resolution Supporting Stepping Up Initiative to Reduce the Number of People with <br /> Mental Illnesses in Jails <br /> The Board considered approving the resolution expressing support for the Stepping Up <br /> Initiative sponsored by the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners (NCACC), the <br /> National Association of Counties (NACo) and other organizations to help advance counties' <br /> efforts to reduce the number of adults with mental and co-occurring substance use disorders in <br /> jails, and authorize the Chair to sign the resolution. <br /> Commissioner Pelissier read the resolution: <br /> RES-2015-038 <br />
