Motor Vehicle Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> The Board adopted the resolution, which is incorporated by reference, to release motor vehicle <br /> property tax values for twenty-five (25) taxpayers with a total of thirty-two (32) bills that will <br /> result in a reduction of revenue in accordance with the NCGS. Financial impact year to date for <br /> FY 2015-2016 is $9,455.77. <br /> c. Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> The Board adopted the resolution, which is incorporated by reference, to release property tax <br /> values for nine (9) taxpayers with a total of nine (9) bills in accordance with NCGS 105-381. <br /> Approval of this change will result in a net reduction in revenue of$53,731.93 to the County, <br /> municipalities, and special districts. The Tax Assessor recognized that refunds could impact <br /> the budget and accounted for these in the annual budget projections. <br /> d. Applications for Property Tax Exemption/Exclusion <br /> The Board approved the resolution, which is incorporated by reference, for eleven (11) <br /> untimely applications for exemption/exclusion from ad valorem taxation for the 2015 tax year. <br /> The reduction in the County's tax base associated with approval of the exemption application <br /> will result in a reduction of FY 2015/2016 taxes due to the County, municipalities, and special <br /> districts in the amount of$9,323.90. <br /> e. Tax Collector's Annual Settlement for Fiscal Year 2014-15 <br /> The Board received the Tax Collector's annual settlement on current and delinquent taxes; <br /> authorized the Chair to sign the resolution accepting it as reported for entry into the minutes; <br /> and upon acceptance of the reports, approved and authorized the Chair to sign and issued the <br /> Order to Collect to the Tax Collector for Fiscal Year 2015-2016. <br /> f. Fiscal Year 2015-16 Budget Amendment#1 <br /> The Board approved the budget and grant project ordinance amendments for fiscal year 2015- <br /> 16. <br /> g. Application for North Carolina Education Lottery Proceeds for Chapel Hill — Carrboro <br /> City Schools (CHCCS) and Contingent Approval of Budget Amendment#1-A Related to <br /> CHCCS Capital Project Ordinances <br /> The Board approved the application for North Carolina Education Lottery Proceeds, authorized <br /> the Chair to sign the application; and approved Budget Amendment#1-A receiving the Lottery <br /> Proceeds and the amended CHCCS Capital Project Ordinances, contingent on NCDPI's <br /> approval of the application. <br />
