Besides service on the Adult Care Home Advisory Committee and prior service on the <br /> County Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee, I currently volunteer at Signature <br /> (formerly Chapel Hill Rehab) Nursing Home in Chapel Hill. <br /> Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br /> The Advisory Board on Aging plays a key advisory role in the county on aging issues. Home <br /> health care for the aging is very important, and neither the Adult Care Home nor the Nursing <br /> Home committees address home health care for the aging in a major way. The County Advisory <br /> Board on Aging can do this. <br /> Conflict of Interest: <br /> However, my wife and I are on the waiting list for the Carol Woods continuing Care Community. <br /> Supplemental Questions: <br /> Work Experience: I currently serve on the Human Relations Commission and wish to <br /> continue serving on that Commission. I've been on the HRC for several years now and <br /> feel I'm making a contribution. I've recently retired to Adjunct Professor status at the <br /> School of Government of UNC. Because of this, I have more time to devote to volunteer <br /> work and can serve on a second county committee. In the past, I served on the Nursing <br />
