Director <br /> Division of Waste Management <br /> From: Jenny Patterson, Eastern Region Supervisor, Compliance Branch <br /> Hazardous Waste SectiOn <br /> Subject: Hazardous Waste Section Commenis on Emerson Waldorf School Expansion(Orange County} <br /> Project Nunnber: 15-0591 <br /> The 'Ha7r srdous Waste: Section (EWS) has reviewed the subject Scopingr Request for the proposed project <br /> which consists of the re-development/expansion of the Emerson Waldorf School located at 6211 New Jericho <br /> Road in Chapel Hill,NC in Orange County. <br /> Any hazardous waste generated from the construction, demolition, maintenance, and/or remediation (e.g. <br /> excavated sail) from the proposed projects must be managed in accordance with the North Carolina Hazardous <br /> Waste. Mules. The construutinn,demolition, maintenance, and remediation activities conducted will most likely <br /> generate a solid waste, and the facility must determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. If the project site <br /> generates more than 220 pounds of hazardous waste in 3 calendar month,the I IWS must be notified, and the site <br /> nIerst cornPly with floe small quantity €venerator recluircn7erIts.
