Script for Acting on Findings of Fact <br /> PURPOSE: To receive the Planning Board recommendation, close the public hearing, and make a <br /> decision on a Class A Special Use Permit (hereafter `SUP') application submitted by the Emerson <br /> Waldorf School located at the intersection of New Jericho and Millhouse Roads in Chapel Hill <br /> Township. The applicant is proposing revisions to the school's current SUP and requesting approval <br /> of a Master Plan outlining the long-term expansion of the school's facilities and infrastructure in <br /> accordance with Section 2.7 Special Use Permits and Section 5.8.4 "Schools: Elementary, Middle <br /> and Secondary" of the Orange County Unified Development Ordinance (UDO). <br /> The reconvening of this hearing is solely to receive the Planning Board recommendation and <br /> any additional written evidence submitted since the May 26, 2015 Quarterly Public Hearing. <br /> This hearing is not intended to solicit additional input from the public or the applicant. While the <br /> BOCC may ask staff questions related to the review of a given item, comments from the public <br /> or the applicant shall not be solicited. <br /> As a reminder, the review of this item is carried out in a quasi-judicial format. Decisions relating <br /> to the approval or denial of SUP applications are based solely on the sworn testimony of all <br /> parties involved with the case, both those for and against, as well as the review of competent <br /> material and substantial evidence submitted during the public hearing.
