a5 <br />The water features on the Property, the quality of water flowing in those water features <br />and the natural scenic and open qualities of the Property to be preserved, maintained and <br />protected by this Conservation Easement are hereinafter collectively referred to as the <br />"conservation values" of the Property. <br />Grantors and Grantees agree that the present uses of and improvements to the Property <br />are consistent with the purposes of this Conservation Easement. <br />Grantors intend that the conservation values of the Property shall be preserved, <br />maintained and protected from activities are or may be detrimental to the conservation values of <br />the Property. Grantors further intend to grant to Grantees the right to preserve, maintain and <br />protect the conservation values of the Properly in perpetuity. <br />The conservation purposes of this Conservation Easement are recognized by, and the <br />grant of this Conservation Easement will serve, the following clearly delineated governmental <br />conservation policy: <br />The Uniform North Carolina Conservation and Historic Preservation Agreements Act, <br />North Carolina General Statute 121-34 et seq., which provides that conservation agreements are <br />Page 3 of 22 <br />
