I believe that these skills could be an asset to me if I <br /> am selected to serve on the OWASA Board of Directors. I have also served in various service <br /> capacities within the Chapel Hill-Carrboro communities. <br /> Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br /> I believe in volunteerism; I am already giving back to my community in various capacities and <br /> this allows me to have contact with a diverse group of individuals. I am very interested in all <br /> aspects of our local govern ment/boards and I would like to be able to contribute to the <br /> plans/decisions that affect my neighbors. I feel that it is important for our local <br /> government/boards to be as diverse as the populations that they serve; that way, all of the <br /> stakeholders can be represented at the table.
