A Land Use
Element text amendment regarding 10-Year Transition areas was heard at the May 21, 2007
Quarterly Public Hearing and was adopted by the BOCC at the August 21, 2007 BOCC meeting.
This Zoning text and map amendment is the next step towards allowing non-residential uses in
specific areas along the Highway 70 corridor. This is a smaller scale economic development
opportunity that is being expanded in appropriate areas.
