2 <br />• Direct supervision of 8 full-time permanent employees and several temporary employees; <br />• Responsibility for facility management; <br />• Expanded duties due to an increased number of shelter programs and activities; <br />• Assistance with research and implementation, of shelter policies and procedures due to <br />program changes; and <br />• Alignment with comparable supervisory positions in EMS and Register of Deeds. <br />Communications Operations Manager -EMS -The Department has recommended and the <br />Personnel Department concurs with the reclassification of the Training Officer/Communications <br />at grade 16 to a new classification of Communications Operations Manager at grade 19. This <br />request is warranted by: <br />• Direct supervision and management of 27 employees working 24/7; <br />• Increased emphasis on the planning, evaluation and delivery of specialized training <br />programs to an increased number of staff members; and an <br />• An increase in training mandates by the State and other regulatory agencies. <br />Communications Manager- Visitors Bureau -The Department has recommended, and the <br />Personnel Department concurs with the re-titling and reclassification of Communications <br />Specialist at grade 17 to Communications Manager at grade 19.
