The amendments are now <br />forwarded and forwarded to the BOCC for consideration and approval. <br />SUMMARY OF RECOMMENDED CHANGES BYARTICLE REVISED O8/09/07~ <br />A. Article 11. Mission -Insert Mission statement as approved by CFW. Values statement <br />revised to include recognition of Gender Identity and Expression. <br />B. Article 111. Purpose - No changes recommended. <br />C. Article IV. Membership -Section 4 modifies description of Human Rights and Relations <br />from "Department" to "Office" <br />D. Article V. Officers - No changes recommended. <br />E. Article VI. Elections -Section 1 clarifies the necessity of a quorum in order to conduct <br />a valid election Section 2 changed to reflect that voting will occur only through written <br />ballots cast by members present at the election meeting. <br />Section 3 deleted. <br />F. Article VII. Clarifies language regarding the Board of County Commissioners. <br />G. Article VIII. Staff to the Commission -Clarifies language regarding the Office Director. <br />H. Article IX. Meetings -Change to reflect clarifications regarding open meetings and <br />voting. <br />I. Article X. Standards of Conduct -Clarifies language regarding the Board of County <br />Commissioners. <br />J. Article XI. Amendments -Abolishes requirement that bylaws amendments be <br />submitted in writing to the Commission for Women two <br />weeks prior to their next scheduled meeting. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: None <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the proposed <br />changes and authorize the Commission for Women to amend the Bylaws. <br />
