APPROVED 9/1/2015 <br /> MINUTES <br /> BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> June 2, 2015 <br /> 7:00 p.m. <br /> The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Tuesday, June <br /> 2, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Whitted Building in Hillsborough, N.C. <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chair McKee and Commissioners Mia Burroughs, <br /> Mark Dorosin, Barry Jacobs, Bernadette Pelissier, Renee Price and Penny Rich <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: <br /> COUNTY ATTORNEYS PRESENT: John Roberts <br /> COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: County Manager Bonnie Hammersley and Clerk to the Board <br /> Donna Baker (All other staff members will be identified appropriately below) <br /> Chair McKee called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. <br /> 1. Additions or Changes to the Agenda <br /> - PowerPoint Slides for item 4b -Voluntary and Enhanced Agricultural District Designation: <br /> Multiple Farms - Bowers, Bortz, Thompson, Vanhook (2), Summers, and Teer <br /> - 7a- Strikethrough Version of Interlocal Agreement for the Hollow Rock Nature Park <br /> - 7b- Eubanks Road Solid Waste Convenience Center Construction- site map <br /> - Green sheet - for June 4th Budget work session: School Districts' Current Expense Budget <br /> Requests since FY 2006-07 <br /> - Flier announcing opening of Blackwood Farm Park on June 20. <br /> Chair McKee said that the scheduled closed session had been canceled. <br /> PUBLIC CHARGE <br /> Chair McKee dispensed with the reading of the Public Charge. <br /> 2. Public Comments <br /> a. Matters not on the Printed Agenda <br /> b. Matters on the Printed Agenda <br /> (These matters will be considered when the Board addresses that item on the agenda below.) <br /> 3. Announcements and Petitions by Board Members <br /> Commissioner Dorosin said he had a request for information. He said he previously <br /> petitioned the Board to continue the discussion regarding the bond referendum prior to the <br /> summer break. He said the Chair told him that discussion would take place in September and <br /> that it would not be too late to have this continued discussion at that time. He said he would <br /> like clarification from the Attorney on the timeline. He asked if it would be too late both legally <br /> and practically to continue the discussion in September. <br />
