Notification Materials and Certification Craig Benedict, Director (919) 245-2592 <br /> PURPOSE: To hold a public hearing on an owner-initiated general use rezoning petition in <br /> accordance with the provisions of Section 2.8 of the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO). <br /> BACKGROUND: On April 24, 2015 an application was submitted by, LR Jacobs LLC, seeking <br /> to rezone an approximately 7.8 acres of a 9.8 acre parcel of property located at 4915 <br /> Hillsborough Road: <br /> FROM: Economic Development Eno Lower Intensity (EDE-1), Economic <br /> Development Eno Higher Intensity (EDE-2), Lower Eno Protected <br /> Watershed Protection Overlay District, and Major Transportation Corridor <br /> (MTC) Overlay District <br /> TO: Economic Development Eno Higher Intensity (EDE-2), Lower Eno <br /> Protected Watershed Protection Overlay District, and Major Transportation <br /> Corridor (MTC) Overlay District <br /> The property is currently split zoned with approximately 2 acres zoned EDE-2 and 7.8 acres <br /> zoned EDE-1. The portion of property zoned EDE-2 is currently developed and used to support <br /> a glass manufacturing and installation business, specifically Jacobs Glass.
