She said now Orange County will account for those <br /> 40 charter school students separately, going forward. <br /> 41 Bonnie Hammersley said the goal is to recognize these charter students and she is <br /> 42 recommending only funding half of the students this year and in two years funding all of them. <br /> 43 Commissioner Dorosin clarified that the funds currently go to the schools and are <br /> 44 passed onto the Charter Schools. <br /> 45 Bonnie Hammersley said the funding goes with the student. <br /> 46 Commissioner Dorosin said it seems counterintuitive to lay it out this way and asked if <br /> 47 the County could not just fund all of these students going forward. <br /> 48 Commissioner Price asked if the statement "fund charter school students" means it is an <br /> 49 addition to the per pupil amount. <br /> 50 Bonnie Hammersley said yes. <br />
