11 <br /> 1 Pre-trial Services, and a FTE Drug Court Coordinator. She said these positions would be <br /> 2 funded by the contract monies. She said if the contracts remain, then the current staffing <br /> 3 remains as it is. She said giving three months to talk with stakeholders and come back with <br /> 4 recommendations to Board of County Commissioners is a reasonable timeframe. <br /> 5 Bonnie Hammersley said this decision does not affect the mark up or mark down <br /> 6 budget, as it is a budget neutral initiative. <br /> 7 Bonnie Hammersley said she will act upon the will of the Board of County <br /> 8 Commissioners. She said in either case, she will evaluate with the stakeholders and share her <br /> 9 findings with the Board. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 VOTE: Ayes, 4 (Chair McKee, Commissioner Pelissier, Commissioner Price, and <br /> 12 Commissioner Burroughs); Nayes, 3 (Commissioner Dorosin, Commissioner Jacobs, and <br /> 13 Commissioner Rich) <br /> 14 Motion Passes <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Outside Agencies <br /> 17 Board members made the following suggestions for increased funding for outside <br /> 18 agencies: <br /> 19 Commissioner Rich Marion Cheeks Jackson Comm. Ctr. $2000 <br /> 20 Commissioner Price OCIM Meals on Wheels Program $1830 <br /> 21 Commissioner Dorosin Rogers Eubanks Neighborhood Assoc. $20,000 <br /> 22 Commissioner Jacobs Orange County Schools $35,200 <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Commissioner Pelissier InterFaith Council $4500 <br /> 25 Community Empowerment Fund $2500 <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Commissioner Dorosin said InterFaith Council (IFC) is already receiving $41,000. He <br /> 28 said he does not support any more funds going to this agency. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 A motion was made by Commissioner Jacobs, seconded by Commissioner Price to give <br /> 31 $3000 to I FC. <br /> 32 VOTE: Ayes, 5 (Chair McKee, Commissioner Jacobs, Commissioner Price, Commissioner <br /> 33 Rich, Commissioner Burroughs); Nayes, 2 (Commissioner Dorosin and Commissioner Pelissier) <br /> 34 Motion Passes <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Commissioner Dorosin Rogers Eubanks Neighborhood Assoc. $20,000 <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Commissioner Rich asked if it would be prudent to re-negotiate the existing agreement <br /> 39 with the Rogers Eubanks Neighborhood Association (RENA). <br /> 40 Commissioner Dorosin agreed that it should be re-negotiated but that the RENA is in <br /> 41 need of money now. <br /> 42 Commissioner Rich said it has been a year, and the agreement does not seem to be <br /> 43 working. <br /> 44 Commissioner Dorosin said it is a bigger question than just RENA. He said two other <br /> 45 community centers are coming on line and having conversations is prudent. He said the <br /> 46 funding of RENA now is not mutually exclusive to renegotiating the County's agreement with <br /> 47 them. <br /> 48 Commissioner Dorosin said he brought up helping RENA through the Social Justice <br /> 49 Funds several months ago and was assured the needs would be addressed via Outside <br /> 50 Agencies funding. <br />
