Do away with Class B private roads and allow only Class A private roads, which requires <br /> 17 a minimum 18-ft. travel-way. <br /> 18 2. Allow subdivisions with < 3 lots or dwelling units to be served by a shared driveway, <br /> 19 subject to standards to accommodate emergency services vehicles. (UDO currently <br /> 20 allows 2 lots or dwelling units to share a driveway.) <br /> 21 3. Develop a requirement that all newly created lots have access to a complying road <br /> 22 (either private or public). <br /> 23 4. Cul-de-sacs: Increase clearing width to accommodate emergency vehicle <br /> 24 access/staging. There is currently no minimum width. <br /> 25 5. Drainage pipes under driveways: Establish a minimum width for all drain pipes of 16 <br /> 26 feet, to address concern of trucks being `hung up' when accessing property. <br /> 27 6. Gates/Walls: Require minimum travel widths and stacking areas to accommodate <br /> 28 access concerns. <br /> 29 7. Pull-over Areas: Standards for requiring pull-over areas to allow two trucks to pass on a <br /> 30 road. <br /> 31 8. Private Bridges: There are currently no existing weight specifications governing the <br /> 32 development of a bridge over a stream crossing. <br /> 33 9. Tree Clearance on Driveways: A reference to a tree clearing requirement for <br /> 34 subdivision projects may be needed to ensure emergency vehicular access, with a <br /> 35 reference to such a requirement in recorded road maintenance agreements.
