As requested, we are submitting to you the proposed <br /> project scope of Architectural and Engineering services and fee for-your review and <br /> comment. | understand the scope of services to be as follows: <br /> Orange County desires a new Detention Facility not to exceed 144 beds comprised of a <br /> potential combination of single and double cells utilizing indirect supervision. The "core" <br /> facilities; i.e. Booking, Food Services, Medical, Administration, and Staff Support should b* <br /> designed toaccommodate an eventual population of upte25O inmates. Other Sheriff's law <br /> enforcement spaces as well as multi-purpose spaces may need to be added to the facility as <br /> well, and will be determined upon the initiation of the design process, Our proposal is based <br /> on an approximate$17,800,000,00 construction budget for the project as communicated by <br /> Orange County. <br /> Moseley Architects understands that Orange County may employ a Construction Manager at <br /> Risk delivery method for this project. <br /> Our scope of services includes the following Basic Design Services: <br /> 1. Detailed Design Services: <br /> a. Review owner-provided program document and make revisions as necessary <br /> based upon stakeholder input and direction, <br /> b, Based upon the stakeholder meegimQa. provide preliminary planning design <br /> options on the site for approval and selection nf preferred option; <br /> o. Prepare Schematic Design (SD) phase documents and submit to approval <br /> agencies; <br /> d� Prepare Design Development (OD) phase documents upon eppnzv4| of tile SD <br /> phase and submit to approval agencies; <br /> e. Prepare Construction Document (CD)phase documents upon approval ofthe <br /> DID phase and submit tu approval agencies; <br /> f. Provide in-hou.se cost estimates at the conclusion of each phase of the design— <br /> SID, DID, and CID phases; <br /> g. Submit Design progress documents \u Orange County staff for review and <br /> commen1at the completion of each phase ofVVork�, <br /> h. Meet with the Board of Commissioners bz present the final plans and cost <br /> estimate for approval to bid the Project; <br /> i.
