Bidding and Negotiation <br /> a. Assist the County at the County's request with advertisement for bids, including <br /> General Contractor Prequalification services for detention constrUCtion firms that <br /> are eligible Vobid and all potential CK8AR processes; <br /> b. Respond h)questions and submit addenda ifnecessary; <br /> o. Assist the County in the review of bids and CM&R submission ofthe <br /> Guaranteed K8ex|mum Price ("GKAP°)� <br /> d� Assist the County with preparation of the Contract for Construction with the <br /> approved bidder. <br /> Estimated Duration: concurrent and flexible within the Basic Design Services and <br /> the chosen construction delivery method <br /> 3 Construction Administration and Closeout <br /> a. Conduct pre-construction conference; <br /> b. As necessary, administer documentation such as shop drawings, change orders <br /> and other pertinent construction documentation relevant tu this prcjeot� <br /> c. Conduct monthly construction meetings; <br /> d. Conduct regular site visits to observe construction progress; <br /> e. Review and recommend approval of contractor applications for payment; <br /> f. Conduct and complete substantial and final completion inspections and gather <br /> close-out documentation for the Owner; <br /> g. Provide s year-end inspection sd the completion wf the construction warranty <br /> period. <br /> Estimated Duration: 28 months <br /> 4. Detention Training and Transition Services: <br /> e. Organize transition and occupancy team <br /> b. Monthly transition meetings during final phases mtconstruction <br /> c. Develop/review staffing and hiring phase plan <br /> d� Prepare a personnel activation schedule <br /> e. Review and assist with scenario, SOP, inmate handbook, and post order <br /> development <br /> t. Develop and conduct pre-occupancy training efforts <br /> g� Review/develop the detention classification plan <br /> h. Coordinate facility shakedown <br />
