These products and services are not part of the base study <br /> participation fee, and therefore they each require an additional fee. They are designed to increase <br /> the effectiveness of the Orange County Arts Commission's participation in this national economic <br /> impact study. <br /> A. Participate in the 2017 On the Road to Prosperity Tour ($1,750) <br /> The findings for the Arts &Economic Prosperity V national economic impact study— <br /> including your customized findings for Orange County—will be embargoed until the 2017 <br /> Americans for the Arts Annual Convention begins on June 16,2017. Following the annual <br /> convention,Randy Cohen,Vice President of Research and Policy,will once again embark on <br /> a series of visits to our study partner communities in order to participate in the release of their <br /> customized local,regional, and/or statewide findings. Our previous study partners have told <br /> us that it was invaluable to have Randy there to answer the tough questions and provide the <br /> national perspective. These visits,collectively,will make up the 2017 017 the Road to <br /> Prosperity Tour. <br /> For an additional speaker fee of$1,750, Randy Cohen will travel to Orange County for one <br /> full day.He will participate in any and all meetings and presentations regarding the local <br /> economic impact study that are arranged to take place during his visit. Successful activities <br /> from his previous economic impact visits have included: <br /> • A formal announcement of the study findings for Orange County(e.g.,press <br /> conference,brunch or luncheon presentation, or cocktail reception) <br /> • A study briefing with your board or commission members and/or funders <br /> • A meeting with elected leader(s) <br /> • Presentations to other stakeholder groups(e.g., Chamber of Commerce, economic <br /> and dommunity development agencies, etc.) <br /> • Meetings with newspaper editorial board <br /> • Newpaper,radio,and/or television interviews <br /> • A advocacy presentation to arts organizations to explain the study and how the <br /> findings can be used to support the arts in Orange County <br /> We anticipate that Randy will visit more than 50 study partner communities during the <br /> summer and fall of 2017.He will coordinate his schedule in the manner that makes the most <br /> sense from a travel perspective. He would work directly with the Orange County Arts <br /> Commission to schedule his visit. He will try to accommodate a preferred date,but an <br /> alternative date may be necessary.He will book his schedule on a"first come,first served" <br /> basis and according to his availability. <br /> By adding the On the Road to Prosperity Tozer to this AEP5 project contract,the Orange <br /> County Arts Commission agrees to the following responsibilities: <br /> ■ The Orange County Arts Commission will schedule and plan all meetings and <br /> activities to take place during Randy's visit to Orange County.Randy can provide <br /> guidance and suggestions. <br /> 18 <br />
