ORANGE COUNTY FIRE RESCUE STUDY <br />NEW HOPE <br />1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />S <br />Station #2 is located on North Carolina Highway 86 South (south of New Hope <br />Church Road). <br />6 By road mileage, the two stations are approximately 4.5 miles apart. With the two <br />7 station configuration, the Department can adequately serve its district within the <br />8 Department of Insurance accepted 5 mile range. <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 Organization <br />12 <br />13 The District is governed by a 9 member board of directors. Board members are <br />14 elected by the members of the Department for a term of three years, staggered over <br />15 three years. Board elects a Chair who is the official signatory for the District and <br />16 the Department on all business matters. The Chief reports to the Board.
