The Department has one interchange for I-85 highway access
11 within the District. The District has minimal water resources for fire fighting. As
12 with most of the other departments, all water must be carried to the scene of an
13 incident. At this time, the Department has no plan for developing static water
14 sources and hydrants are not an available option.
15
16
17
18
19
Current Apparatus
Type Age GPM Tank
Ca acity Passenger
Ca aci
Pumper/Tanker 2001 1250 1000 Gal. 5
Pum er/Tanker 2001 1250 1000 Gal. 5
Pum er/Tanker 1996 1250 1250 Gal. 5
Brush Truck 1992 250 250 Gal. 1
SW 1999
20
21 At a water volume capacity of 3,250, the Department is at the Iower end of
22 acceptable for volume needed at a structure fire according to most industry
23 standards, This has an impact on the ISO rating that they can attain.
24
25
26
37
