While the consultant is applying the criteria to screen the <br />county for satisfactory/suitable sites (according to these previously agreed upon screening <br />criteria) the siting committee (the Board of Commissioners in this instance) prioritizes <br />(assigns values) to each of the criteria to assist in ranking the candidate sites that are <br />identified in the initial screening. Again, to maintain the objectivity in the process the <br />criteria are prioritized (weighted) before the potential sites are known. Based on the <br />ra~ciking/scoring the BOCC may wish to apply a more rigorous analysis of the top 2-4 <br />sites. It is likely that every site identified will have shortcomings. <br />2 <br />
