Gattis, County Manager <br /> FROM: Planning Department <br /> DATE: December 12, 1979 <br /> RE: Agenda item for December 18 Board of Commissioners meeting <br /> (Community Development Task Force recommendations for Orange <br /> County's 1979--80 Pre-application to HUD) <br /> At their meeting on December 5, 1979 the Community Development Task <br /> Force voted to recommend to the Board of Commissioners that the County <br /> submit a Pre-application to the Department of HUD for a Comprehensive <br /> Program as outlined by the Planning Department. This proposed Comprehen- <br /> sive Program would take place 'within the Northern Fairview neighborhood <br /> and include the following activities: <br /> 1) housing rehabilitation <br /> 2) demolition <br /> 3) relocation <br /> 4) road paving and surface drainage <br /> 5) a park <br /> 6) land and right-of--way acquisition <br /> 7) design and engineering <br /> 8) planning and administration <br /> The total budget would be between 1-3 million dollars for a CD Program <br /> that would take 3 years to complete. <br /> More detailed information about the proposed Pre--application will be <br /> available for the Commissioners meeting on December 18, 1979. <br /> mb <br />
