voted .thereon at said referendum having voted against <br /> the approval of said order, said order was thereby not approved. <br /> At said referendum 4,527_ votes were cast for the order <br /> adopted on August 27, 1979, authorizing not exceeding <br /> $17, 800,000 School Bonds df the County of Orange, North <br /> Carolina, for the purpose of providing funds, with any other <br /> available funds, for erecting additional school buildings <br /> and other school plant facilities, remodeling, enlarging and <br /> reconstructing existing school, buildings and other school <br /> ole.nt facilities, acquiring any necessary land, furnishings <br /> and equipment therefor, and developing; such land, in order <br /> to nrovi.de additional school facilities in said County to <br /> maintain the nine months' school term as required by Section <br /> 2 of Article aX of the Constitution, and authorizing the <br /> Levy of taxes in an amount sufficient to pay the principal <br /> of and the interest on said bonds, and 7,477 votes were cast <br /> against said order, and a�majority of the qualified voters <br /> of said County who voted thereon at said referendum having <br /> voted against the approval of said order, said order was <br /> thereby not approved. <br /> At said referendum 3,092 votes were cast for the order <br /> adopted on August 27, 1979, authorizing n.ot exceeding <br /> $135, 000 Voting Machine Bonds of the County of Orange, North <br /> Carolina, for the purpose of providing funds, with any other <br /> available funds, for the acquisition of a voting system for <br /> said County, including voting booths, precinct ballot <br /> counters and related equipment, and authorizing the levy of <br /> taxes in an amount sufficient to pay the principal of and <br /> the interest on said bonds, and 8,767 votes were cast <br /> against said order, and a majority of the qua'iified voters <br /> -4- <br />
