and the acquisition of any necessary land, furnishings and <br /> equipment therefor, and authorizing the levy of taxes in an <br /> amount sufficient to pay the principal of and the interest <br /> on said bonds, and 6,433 votes were cast against said order, <br /> and a majority of the qualified voters of said County who <br /> voted thereon at said referendum having voted against <br /> the approval of said order, said order was thereby not <br /> approved. <br /> At said referendum4,356 votes were cast for the order <br /> adopted on August 27, 1979, authorizing not exceeding <br /> $2,065,000 Public Building Bonds of the County of Orange, <br /> North Carolina, for the purpose of providing funds, with any <br /> other available funds, for additional or improved service, <br /> administrative, court and law enforcement facilities for <br /> said County, including the reconstruction, renovation and <br /> repair of existing County buildings to provide a human <br /> services center and expanded and rehabilitated facilities <br /> for the administration of the government of said County, the <br /> renovation of court facilities, the construction_ of a new <br /> County office building and relatee parking facilities to <br /> provide additional space for various County services, the <br /> renovation of and construction of an addition to the multi- <br /> purpose center of the County, the renovation of and the <br /> construction of in addition to the existing County jail and <br /> the acquisition of any necessary land, furnishings and <br /> Equipment therefor, and authorizing the levy of taxes in an <br /> amount sufficient to pay the principal of and the interest <br /> on said bonds, and 7,588 votes were cast against said order, <br /> and a majority of the qualified voters of said County who <br /> it <br />
