1 <br /> plant facilities, acquiring any necessary land, furnishings <br /> and equipment therefor, and developing such land, in order <br /> to provide additional school facilities in said County to <br /> maintain the nine months' school term as required by Section <br /> 2 of Article IX of the Constitution, and authorizing the <br /> levy of taxes in an a=nount sufficient to pay the principal <br /> of and the interest on said bonds, and 7,477 votes were cast <br /> against said order, and a majority of the qualified voters <br /> of said County who voted thereon at said refere-dum having <br /> voted against the approval of said order, said order was <br /> thereby not approved. <br /> At said referendum 3.092 votes were cast for the order <br /> adopted an August 27, 1979, authorizing not exceeding <br /> $135,000 voting, Machine Bonds of the County of Orange, North <br /> Carolina, for the purpose of providing funds, with any other <br /> available funds, for the acouisition of a voting systern for <br /> said County, including voting b.00 hs, precinct ballot <br /> counters and re fated equipment, and authorizing the levy of <br /> taxes in an amount sufficient to pay the principal, of and <br /> the interest an said 'ponds, and 8,767 votes were cast <br /> against said order, and a majority of the oljalified voters <br /> of said County who voted thereon at said referendum having <br /> voted against the approval of said order, said order <br /> was thereby not approved. <br /> Board of Commissioners for the <br /> County of Orange, North Carolina <br />
