r^ r <br /> AGENDA ITEM n 6 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE <br /> USE OF FACSIMILE SIGNATURES <br /> Whereas, the Orange County Finance Department has acquired a check <br /> signing device, and <br /> Whereas, NC General State 159-28.1 provides for the use of fac- <br /> simile signatures of the type that will be used on this device, <br /> Now therefore be it resolved by the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> that the Finance Officer and Deputy Finance Officer may use facsimile <br /> signatures for signing checks and drafts on authorized accounts and for <br /> signing the preaudit certificate on purchase orders; and <br /> Be it further resolved that the Finance officer and the Deputy Finance <br /> officer are charged viith the Custody of the signature plates or stamps <br /> and that those designated officials and the sureties on their official <br /> bonds are liable for any illegal, improper or unauthorized use of those <br /> plates, or stamps; and <br /> Be it further resolved that this resolution be spread upon the <br /> minutes of the Orange County Board of Commissioners. <br /> Adopted this the 5th Day of November, 1979 AD. <br />
