RESOLUTION <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Recreation and Parks Advisory Council has <br /> recommended the acquisition by gift of approximately fifty (50) acres <br /> of land at the Red Hill Site, Orange County, North Carolina, and <br /> VIHEREAS, the Orange County Recreation and Parks Advisory Council has <br /> determined that the acquisition of this property would enhance the <br /> long range recreation and park plan for Orange County, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Recreation and Parks Advisory Council has <br /> determined that development of this site as a County recreation and <br /> park area is feasible and has the support of citizens in the area; <br /> THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> that the Orange County Recreation and Parks Advisory Council be and it <br /> is hereby empowered to pursue with the State of North Carolina the <br /> acquisition by gift in the name of Orange County approximately fifty (50) <br /> acres of land at the Red Hill Site, located in Orange County, North Carolina. <br /> Upon motion of Commissioner_ Norman ldalker , seconded by Commissioner <br /> Norman Gustaveson the foregoing resolution was adopted by the <br /> following vote: <br /> Ayes: Commissioners Walker, Gustaveson, Whitted and Willhoit <br /> Noes.
