Obtain written, approval from the State Board <br /> of E1ect.iions for the use of this voting system together with <br /> the rules and regulations adopted by the State Board of <br /> Elections) pursuant to G.S. §163-160. 1 will or-esent this <br /> information to the County Commissioners when they consider <br /> the question of using the voting machine"'. The County <br /> Commissioners will decide their use and can decide to use <br /> voting machines in some or all voting places in the County. <br /> 2 . Obtain from the vendor a ca p of the <br /> for the band issue together with the punch card for ballots <br /> by bond counsel. I_ will need this as soon as possible. <br /> 3_ The Board of Elections, at their <br /> meeting or at a special meeting called in time for�the e November <br /> 6 election must decide which precincts will use the voting <br /> machines. <br /> As to precincts where the voting machines will be <br /> used pleas be mindful of G.S. §163-162 which requires paper <br /> ballots for those that axe required to sign their ballots and <br /> also those wishing to write in the names of candidates that <br /> are not on the ballot. <br />
