s <br /> Agenda Item 2: Sketch Land Use Plan <br /> The Planning Director gave a brief progress report on the development <br /> of sketch land use plans for Hingham and Hillsborough Townships including <br /> the developmental districts and locational criteria which are set forth <br /> on page 712 of this book. He also showed maps of Bingham and Hillsborough <br /> Townships which indicated watersheds, existing interest and proposed <br /> interests, development possibilities, and sketch plan categories. <br /> Agenda Items 3-4 Planning Issues and Goals <br /> u . f <br /> Mr. Fred Luce, of the County planning staff, reviewed issues <br /> and goals of Bingham Township and Hillsborough Township as developed <br /> by Bingham and Hillsborough Township Advisory Councils. For copies <br /> of these goals, see page 715 of this book. <br /> The Chairman of the Planning Board called for questions from <br /> the audience at this time. <br /> Mr. H. B. olive suggested distinguishment be made between towns <br /> outside and inside the County. <br /> Mr. Robert Earl expressed concern about the recognition of the needs <br /> of agricultural land. <br /> Mr. Ed Johnson, Bingham Township Advisory Council, expressed his <br /> concern the County Commissioners might short circuit the planning processes <br /> by extending zoning in the near future and asked the Board members to <br /> state their feelings on this issue. He asked whether interim zoning <br /> might createlegal problems or whether it might limit freedom of action <br /> after the land use plan is completed. <br /> Agenda Items 5-6 Non-Residential Land Uses <br /> Mr. Keith Rosemond reviewed non single-family residential land <br /> uses in Bingham and in Hillsborough Townships. For copy of these <br /> listings, see page 721 of this book. <br /> Mr. Ben Lloyd asked how much non--residential growth had taken <br /> place in the last 24 months. He said he did not feel the growth was <br /> too rapid. <br /> Mr. Robert Nichols asked how much acreage would be zoned commercial <br /> or mobile home zoning under existing use when only a portion of that <br /> acreage is used for commercial or mobile home purposes. <br /> I <br /> -6- <br />
