Olive suggested contacting a State geologist and researching <br /> geology publications which could identify where all minerals were located <br /> C <br /> with;n the County. <br /> Mrs. Alice Durham expressed her concern about receiving better <br /> R <br /> notification of these processes so that citizens could have an opportunity <br /> to give more input. <br /> Mr. B. B. Olive asked whether the University of North Carolina <br /> owned property relating to extractive uses and whether special consideration <br /> of University property would be made. He asked whether University property would <br /> be subject to the ordinance. <br /> Mr. Ben Lloyd asked about quarries not currently in operation. <br /> There being no further comments about the proposed amendment to <br /> Section 8.1.3, Dr. Bonar called for comments on the proposed amendment to <br /> Section 9.1.2.
