Bonar opened the floor to comment on proposed amendment to <br /> Section 8.1.3. <br /> Mr. B. B. Olive asked what promoted the need for an amendment to <br /> Section 8.1,3 and whether extractive uses to be affected by the amendment <br /> had been identified. <br /> Mr. Bill Dorsett asked what would happen to the quarry currently in <br /> operation when the zoning ordinance is extended. <br /> Mr. Robert Earl expressed his concern about what would happen to <br /> extractive uses when the zoning ordinance was extended and he expressed <br /> his concern about pushing industry such as the quarry out of Orange County. <br /> A representative of American Stone Company asked about the determination <br /> of extractive uses. ' <br /> Ms. Alice Durham, owner of the property the American Stone Company <br /> leases for its quarry, expressed her concern of what was„happening to <br /> the farmer. She said the quarry lease was her source of income. <br /> The representative of American Stone asked whether the quarry would <br /> be found conforming under extension of the present ordinance or whether <br /> it would have to try to come into conformance after extension of the ordinance. <br />
